Description: In June 2009, President Obama signed into law the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act.  Over two years later, provisions of this law are still going into effect and there remain many questions and legal battles over the implementation of different parts of the Act.

Join legal experts from the Tobacco Control Legal Consortium and staff from the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids as they share the latest happenings related to policy, regulation and implementation of the Act.  Presenters will highlight the important role public health professionals can play in encouraging the FDA to adopt strong regulations.

Description:  Break Free Alliance will be hosting a three-part webinar series to discuss and encourage dialogue among partners working to address tobacco use among homeless and formerly homeless populations. In 2009, Break Free Alliance facilitated an expert panel  to discuss tobacco use in homeless populations in order to develop and share recommendations on strategies to best address tobacco use in this population.  The purpose of the webinar series is to expand on the recommendations from the expert panel and to share new successes, challenges and promising practices with a wide audience.
